Pre-Employment & Exit Medical Examinations

A pre-employment medical examination forms part of the pre-employment process. It is important to assess whether the prospective employee is physically able to meet the requirements of the role they applied for.

A pre-employment medical includes:

• Health questionnaire

• Height, weight, body mass index

• Blood pressure and pulse

• Blood glucose

• Range of movement, including grip strength

• Lung function test

• Hearing test

• Vision test

• Urine or Saliva drug test

• Breath alcohol test

The duration of a pre-employment medical is 60 minutes and is followed by a full report and recommendations.
