Health Monitoring

The health and safety at work regulations 2016 (General risk and workplace management), recommends that health monitoring be done on all individuals exposed to potential health hazards.
OHSMED advises employers that if your employees wear personal protective equipment such as a dust mask/respirator or hearing & eye protection for tasks done at work, they are exposed to potential health hazards and therefor health monitoring should be done annually.
Employee health monitoring is done to ensure there is no decline in health following exposure. Results obtained are compared to previous results and should stay the same. Those employees with below normal results are referred to the appropriate medical professional for further assessment.
Health monitoring is tailored to your company and dependent on employee’s specific exposure. It is followed by a full report and recommendations.
